Unhappy Ebay seller issue

I bid on a used stock exhaust header for my 2010 Limited and won. The item sold for $50 with a shipping cost of $42.09. I sent payment via paypal within 5 minutes of the auction closing. This was yesterday morning about 8:45 am. I had not heard from the seller, so I went into my account on Ebay and it showed that I still needed to make payment. I went back to my paypal account and it showed payment went to the seller, they received it, and then they refunded the payment back to my account with no explanation. I contacted paypal and they told me that my funds would be in the paypal account at the earliest on Wednesday, most likely on Friday. I could then use the funds out of paypal or request it be refunded to my personal account which will take an additional 4-5 days. I sent an email to the seller to find out why they refunded the payment, but have not heard back yet.
I would just bid on another one if there was one available, and the funds are not available to be used if I find one somewhere else for at least 6 days. I would at least like an explanation from the seller,

Probably someone came along and offered more than you through contact the seller and the seller sold it to that party.

If the seller doesn't provide you with a reasonable explanation, you have the option to leave some honest feedback, be it negative or neutral.

Sounds like they don't want to complete the sale.
You can request the sellers contact info, name and phone number.
Call them and ask what's up.

Ebay did tell me that if they did not reply to me within 48 hours I can file a dispute with them. This could result in them being removed from Ebay. I dont want to go that route, just want to know what happened, and why no explanation. I was going to gut the cat on this one and keep mine in case I need it for future issues. I guess I will just get on the list with Fuelmoto when I get a little more cash set back.

Live and learn - your lucky, you did not loose money... compaining to ebay is like talking to the door....in my oponion...

I would leave neg feedback and go buy something else.

you could have got the part and it was a POS or was the wrong part - you email the seller and then NEVER hear back...

I had a problem like that. It took 5 business days before my money was back in my bank. Paypal uses a Federal Reserve bank. All money transaction are done through the Federal Reserve and not Paypal. The Federal Reserve is drawing interest on your money, no matter how short a time it sits in there bank.
