Sounds like you have a pretty good idea of what to take already. Don't overpack clothing. U can always pick up some cheap tee shirts, jeans, and the like somewhere on the road if needed for some reasons. Bring a little cash just in case. Make sure you have registration and insurance info. just in case you get to well aquainted with the local authorities! Bring a camera. Most importantly bring a nice joint to puff on while you watch a glorious sunset or sunrise....LOL!
I save all my old underwear and socks for my road trips. Wear em once and toss em. Gives you that much extra room for souvenir tees. Who wants to do laundry while on vacation anyway?
I ride behind 05 Ultra, pick up his old underwear and socks and wear them for a few days before I wash 'em.
Everything is packed for 3-5 days here the only reason I put the tour pac on is cause Iam takeing my 3/4 helmet with and wanted to lock it up......I can do the same with my Deluxe in back ground,no tour pac for helmet tho heeheehee...
Get AAA RV+ service plan. I think you get tow coverage for up to 150 miles and it's only a few dollars more. Get UnderArmor under ware. Soaks sweat and drys off fast plus it packs light. Wallmart also has something similar for a lot less. Check out The Aerostitch website. Lots of good stuff on there. Leave the doo rags at home.

+1 on the underwear. Walmart has some just like underarmour, but a lot cheaper. The last time I bought some they were on a rack by themself with a picture of Toney Romo as a sponsor. 10.00 a pair! These do make a difference sitting in the saddle for a long time. Save the joint for Niagra Falls, it makes the colors real...LOL
