As a rule, take 1/2 as much sh*t as you think you will need, and twice as much cash.

Here is another little hint for ya...........Most folks dont think about...BUT......

If you take a sleeping bag/blanket with ya you can put a t-shirt,pr of jeans, underware and socks in it then roll it up........2-3 days worth right there and room in the saddle bag for a little more stuff or not...

+1 on the under armor under wear $25 bucks a pair and worth every penny

+1 on taking your old stuff and throwing away as its used

Buy yourself some individually packaged premoistened wipes (also sold with prep h) and make sure that hole is spinky spanky clean every time you dump a load. One little dingleberry can make a raw *** in no time. Keep at least one of those wipes in your pocket at all times so its there when you need it and not out there in your saddlebag.

Enjoy

Take a small ice chest (collapsible) for dipping neck cooler and keeping water.Take snack bars, youll need them! Cool vest is nice in hot weather. Also carry a small assortment of tools...allen,torx and a few small wrenches.

I left NC for Utah and didnt get out of the state before one of my buds had two flat tires. I was the only one that happened to have a portable air compressor and a tire repair kit. Had another flat in Alabama...somebody needs to take a first aid kit in the group also. Dont forget the earplugs and a helmet with a full face shield.....trust me on this one.......and if you dont expect cold weather, leave the leathers at home. they are heavy and take too much room. use your rain suit for extra clothing if you need to stay warm...My 2 Cents

It's good to plan ahead but sounds like you're scared ! All ya need is a rain suit and a credit card, and probably a cell phone. Get things you need as you go, or call your Mom. Better yet take a Van, then you can bring along even more sh*t for your buddies.

Yea, you're right drunkanfu - just took the training wheels off the bike and a little shaky about getting more that 50 miles from home.

Actually, I haven't been scared since I crawled out of my last tunnel 2 clicks out of Cu Chi in the Republic of South Viet Nam on May13, 1969. KMA !

Just thought it would be a good idea to learn from others and take along things that might make life a little easier or safer. This ain't gonna be a testosterone challenge - just a bunch of friends tak'in a ride.

Glad to hear you've got your list down to credit card and rain suit. Hope I can help if you're sit'in along side the road with a flat or a mechanical breakdown in the middle of nowhere with no cell service and the theme from "Deliverance" playing in the background .
