Default Help - Want to add "spot" switch

I'd like to add some driving lights to my 2010 Street Glide, but don't like the switch that comes with the Kuryakyn light kit (prt#5005). What I want to do is put in the "Spot" switch that comes on the Touring models with the lamps installed already (Ultra Classic, etc). Does anyone know that part number for this switch? Any suggestions on wiring would also be appreciated.
Thanks.

I don't have my parts manual handy but if you go to the parts counter and tell them you want the spot switch for an Ultra they will know what you want. For the wiring you need the service manual for your bike which covers all of the touring models. The schematic in the back of the manual shows where the pins go in the connector for the switch. For the lights you would use the auxiliary pin slots off of the turn signal connectors on each side. If you look at the harness side of the signal connector use the pin slot that connects to the gray(I think, anyway it will be the one that is open on the signal side of the connector) wire.

If you need more clarification I can check my manual and reply later.

Thanks! I've been meaning to get a service manual anyway. Will have to stop by the dealer tomorrow to see if I can get the switch (or if has to be ordered).

I'm putting spots on my '95 FLSTN right now, is there anything wrong with splicing into the running light lead to the front turn signals?

Don't know for sure but I would guess that you would be overloading the circuit.

I'm about to find out, I have one wired in now and I'll finish it tomorrow. If I blow the fuse I'll run them on their own circuit.
