Yes. I took delivery of my '10 streetglide and went out to get through the break in period which took me into the night. I noticed that the light for the air gauge wasn't on when I was heading home. Went to the dealer the next day and asked if there was suppose to be one, the guy behind the counter looked at me with a confused look and said "of cource!!" When they took the fairing off they realized that when the bike was assembled the wire for the air gauge light was run behind the clutch cable so when the handle bars were turned it pulled the light out of the gauge. Easy fix, no problems since.

You still have your gauge? The gauge not being lit is a subliminal message for removing the fairing and checking the gauge and then deciding "Hey, I think I will replace the gauge with something more useful like an oil temp gauge".

It's worthless, only reads the temp inside the fairing, and inside the fairing gets real hot out in the sun.

Funny, mine was the same way, I took my fairing off to run my GPS wires and noticed it pulled out by the cable. A quick unwrap and click into the housing and it was done.

I second that. The factory should have put an oil temp gage in its place

Had them remove mine and replace with oil temp gauge before I took delivery. Still can't figure out why HD thinks it is a good idea to put that useless air temp gauge on their bikes??????

Yea I pulled mine out of the dealer last fall and the air temp gauge wasnt working, has never worked since the day I bought it. Took it to the dealer for 1k service and asked about it and he said he could replace it but they were useless and never really worked.

Most agreed, they are pretty useless. Why they find it necessary to tell you how cold or hot it is when your OUTSIDE riding, I have no idea. Add to the fact that it is completely inaccurate makes things worse. Wish they would have upgraded the Limited to include oil temp guage.
