I have been using my RAM Mount for the last few months and I am very impressed. I bought the dual ball that mounts to left hand control cap, then I use the cup holder if riding long distance and the mount for my Motorola Droid is actually for the iPhone (a trick I learned with research that the Droid will fit very snug in the iPhone cradle since they have not produced a Droid cradle yet and Ram Mount recommend the very ugly universal cell mount for the Moto Droid).

When the gps is off the bike you don't notice it there. I had the one on the switch housing and that one was very ugly. I have had good luck also with the durability of mine.
