Default Changing bars - need help please

OK so I got the old bars off of my Ultra and planned to install a set of 14" apes from Hill Country Cycles but I can't get the lolex connectors apart to add the extensions. Bike is tore up and I'm stuck. Is there anyone who can tell me what I'm doing wrong. Its a great weekend to ride and my front end is all over the garage.
PM or call me at 2146862788

Are you talking pulling the two connectors apart so the bars come free, or disecting the actual connector?!

The insert when looking at the connector side is just a rubber piece, stick a pick in there and tug on it, it will come out.

Better yet, Watch this clip, it really helped me.

Double click it and watch it full screen. That little window doesn't help much.
