Here's an e-bay link to the kind of clamps we're referring to, these are pretty nice, durable, and quality pieces:

And here's an e-bay link to some decent pegs:

This is the same set-up I put on my bike about 15,000 miles ago, and I'm happy with them.

I ordered the long angled adjustable for my limited. Haven't taken delivery of the bike yet so couldn't tell you how they are.

I've got both the short angled and the billet clamp-ons. With a 34" inseam, I find the clamp-ons to be a little far away, and the short angled to be a little too close.

I had exact same experience. Now use 360's. Once I found that sweet spot, just blue locktighted everything. No problems since. I also like to keep them low so I can ride with heel on board and toes on pegs if I like.

The H-D 360 mounts are the way to go. Had them for years and no problems. You'll find the fixed ones are way too limited in where you can put your feet. The 360's let you adjust it "just right" and are very secure if you use loctite you'll have no problems.

Highway pegs make a WORLD of difference in comfort for long haul trips.

Ditto. I ride the same way - set the 360's low so I can put my heel on the board and toe on the hwy pegs. I don't like my feet sticking way up high like some I see, plus reaction time is rather extended if something happens.

+1 My dealer recommended this set-up and I love it. Very relaxing to have your foot/toes off to the side of the pedals while being close by for quick reaction. Post your heels up on them for that highway cruising position.

i installed the billet chromed harley ones, and after a week removed them. they're collecting dust in my shop. i just didn't like the fact that they didn't stay put now matter how much i tightened them. they'd spin on the slick chrome of the crash bar and wouldn't stay put. i wasn't putting any undue stress on the pegs either. i tightened them enough to where it actually marked the chrome surface of my crash bar and that wasn't tight enough , so it was easy for me to decide that my bike didn't like them.
