Well, I've been patiently waiting for the 11's, even forced myself to AVOID my local stealer all day yesterday (the 27th) 'cause I knew all the looky-loo's would be there, then showed up at the door this morning, when they opened. At which time I was advised that they will not be displaying the 11's until August 14th! I wonder why. Is it because they are a relatively small stealership and won't recieve an allotment until then? Or because of all the 10's on the floor waiting for guys like me who are probably just gonna go with a 10, since they're a few bucks cheaper and there isn't anything new, to speak of, on the 11's. Whatever the reason, tics me off, because I thought today would be the day! Guess I'll head for the big city and check out the bigger guys!
Sorry... end of my rant
I don't know where you are but the local dealer here only wants $17,700.00 for a 2010 Vivid Black Road King Classic OTD. It has a set of Rush Slip-on's.
My Dealership here will have them on the floor starting today. As a matter of fact a couple of dealerships around here will. They let me back to check them out yesterday though. Road Glide Ultra, 103 SG. The rest were same ol same ol. But i did get to check out two new colors. The new blue and the denim white. The blue is much better looking in person than on the site. Of course that being said, i still wouldn't buy it personally. The denim white SG.... Thought it was going to look nice but boy was i wrong. It wasn't at all due to a couple colors of metal flake being in it. The Road Glide Ultra was a suweet bike though!
I was at 2 different dealers yesterday the 27th. Both had 2011s in the shop and both were more than willing to let me go back , look, sit, touch and do whatever I wanted, but no rides bc they weren't prepped yet.
I need to get back to the states and test ride that new Road Glide Ultra... And see the colors in person. The web site never does a good job on representing what the paint actually looks like.
I don't think I've ever seen the new models out the day they're posted to HD Web Sight.
Web Sight in July. Dealership in August.. Am I right on this?
Both of my local dealers have always had the new year models the day after the dealers meeting is over. And HD has posted them on the website. They put the 2011 models they had on the floor Monday night the 26th after they closed. They had them on display when they opened Tuesday morning the 27th.
The first of the 2011 models they were getting were delivered last week. They just have to wait till the dealers meeting is over and HD posts the new models on the website to display them.
