CB Channel
Each group uses different channels. Group ride the most with uses 22 another uses 31. Never heard of a biker channel will check it next ride. We also have one person that will check in on 19 every now and then to see what is going on that the group should be aware of.
Riding alone listen to 19 truckers have got me around traffic or made room for me in traffic, many truckers ride also and want to know about where you are going or our bike. Of course there are some that hate us but they are not the norm.

Most antenna systems are tuned for the center freq, channel 19 or 27.185Mhz. The lower channels have a little better range if the antenna is tuned for it. The lower the freq is the longer the rod has to be. I haven't put the meter on the bike but I would guess the SWR is high on the low channels. SWR means "standing wave ratio" of reflected energy. The CB's final TX amplifier doesn't like a high SWR and will last longer if used on the channel the antenna was tuned for.
