After seeing Green Apple on Ultra Classic or Kryptonite Green on Street Glide, I eventually liked the colors on the 2011 Touring Bikes, but a friend of mine told me that Green produces bad luck on Harleys

He's not pulling your leg. I won't ride a green one. Never. It's just one of those things I was brought up with and it's in my head that it'll break down or get run over. It's been around a long time n

I had heard from an old school biker that green could blend you into the landscape and people at the blink of an eye couldn't tell between you or the grass on a hillside, field so on and so forth. Is it true? Who knows, but I still have a Gremlin Bell.
British bikes were painted green way back when and they were beating the Harley's on the race track. That is where the green is bad luck for Harley came from.

There were many years when green was the only color available. Back in the day Olive Green was it for color.
The MoCo seems to have survided those years well enough
