Default Ignition switch question

OK so I screwed up last night putting the fairing cap back on and got my ignition switch out of alignment. The service manual tells me how to fix this with their special little alignment tool which the dealer is out of stock on of course.

The question is has anyone just done this with a screw driver? I can move the internal switches with it, just not sure which way or how. Any help would be appreciated!

Do a search there have been a few threads on this. Some guys have been lucky getting it lined back up. I played with mine for hours and could not get it. I finally bought the tool from Georges garage 909-843-7043, their shipping is great I had the tool in a couple of days. With the tool it lines right back up no problem.

Thanks, I can't view this at work but I assume the video will explain it all. Server blocks "Streaming Video".

Yes it is but my detent lugs are missaligned as well. I'll make the pipe tool (I was able to watch the video on my smart phone) and see if I can get that to work.
