I have had to remove my front inner fairing. Now I am reinstalling everything and am having trouble getting the ignition switch to align. The repair manual calls out part #HD-45962 alignment tool. This tool is not available from anyone that I have checked.

Does anyone else have experience or knowledge about my problem?

 

I used a long flat blade screwdriver but you can also use 1/4 in copper tubing flattened like in this post. Check this out.

That is very clever, looks like it works great. I will give it a try, but I am already misaligned, will this get things realigned?
