I went ahead and bought the SE Compensator this past Saturday. My local dealer had an open house and everything except bikes were 20% off. I'll be installing in the near future and will report my thoughts.

The Screaming Eagle Compensator is the engines front chain sprocket and electrical stator mount. It is designed to mitigate some of the vibration and engine pulses which are fed into the drivetrain by means of a pre-loaded cam and ramp system. Essentially, the SE version can handle up to 8 times the load of the stock version and hopefully, in my case, reduce some of the clatter coming out of the primary case. The item lists at $250.00 and I don't know what labor would cost as I do my own wrenching.
I didn't hear the "clank" before this work was done and still don't....sheesh.
