I just started putting mine together. Never heard of a complete motor. Price sounds like a kit to me. Are you getting new cases also? It took some time to get my parts. As they are shipped vendor direct. My case was back ordered for a bit. I'm hopeing my new camplate and oilpump get in in the next day or so if so should have the motor put in by the weekend.
You can buy the complete motor!!! Why not bore your stock cases to accept the 120 bore(i think it's 4.060) & save money??
When I first started this project the 120r kit was the only thing out. The complete motor came out after..sucks to be me. That said the cases were like $580 don't quot me it's off the top of my head. I went that way so I could build the 120r pull the 103 and still ride while the 120r was being built. As it turns out I'm glad I went this way it took almost 5mo.
I also think the new cases are a little beefier witch gives me a little more piece of mind.
other then the Waite I'm happy so far I'm into this 6500.00 installed. new pipes will up that of course.
Doe's anybody know if HD put there roller tappets in this motor ? And for you guys that have this motor in already are you getting by on pump fuel? This thing sounds awesome. I am starting to save my money.
Question ? does anybody know if HD used there SE roller tappets in this motor? Also for you guys that have these now, are you running on pump fuel without problems. This motor sounds and looks awesome. I think I will have to start saving my money. Thanks for any info. you can give me on these questions.

One benefit that I see with the kit version, is that you can pay closer attention to fine details (such as deck hight and chamber volume) during assembly.
Has anybody measured the above items in a crate version? Maybe they are spot-on.

I doubt anyone is tearing down a crate motor, might as well buy the kit at that point.
Thanks for the input. I'm a little surprised that they would not use there roller tappets but thats why i asked. There not listed as a part of this motor in the SE catalog.
