Front Motor Mount
I believe I have a bad front motor mount and after reading all the posts I can find on the subject I am totally confused now. I was ready to buy a Harley replacement and then read they have changed to a newer model that now is worse than the broken one. Some say buy Glide-Pro. Some say buy Velva-Ride. Some say buy the MU26037 from Motocycle.com, for $15.50 because it is the old type, but it is for 80 thru 06. I have a 07 Ultra - HELP.
Don't know if I should say this but when my engine was shaking more than I thought it should at idle I torqued it a bit and that helped. That has been a few months ago and as it is in the shop getting painted I am now having it replaced but have not discussed which type. Glad you brought this up.
I just found this out - after it "fixed" itself! Thought the same thing.

Make sure all bolts holding mounts are tight.Found upper mounts loose on mine tha other day.Might check the bolts holding the front mount also.If you have had any exhaust work done or tire change you might also check that all is well with the position of pipes and tightness of bolts.
Thanks, it looks like I need to go back to ground zero and start looking. About a month ago I had new tires put on then installed new Dresser Duals myself and did not notice the vibration. My wife and I went on an eight day trip over 3,000 miles, 14 states and everything felt fine. Then about a week after we got back I notice the vibration at idle was worse than it has ever been. So I will start looking at all the suggestions to try and figure out what the problem is.
