RE: How do you like your Hooker Tuned Flow slip ons
I absolutley LOVE mine. After hearing the Hookers, I sold my Wild Pigs and Rush slip-ons. The Hookers have a very deep and powerful sound, and yet they are not obnoxious. At highway speeds they actually seem to get quieter - very easy to hear the radio on my street glide. I'm also running a PCIII USB.

I had them, with the PCIII and they sound good but they are some of the loudest slipons out there, a little tamer if you run them both closed on the tourque setting but if you run left to torque right to HP like the PCIII map says too, the guy behind you will hate you!, too loud for me had too sell them after 400 miles, you can hear your radio, but they just made my head ache after a long ride. but they do sound good and make good power.

My buddy has the pipes and there not loud like you say. The reason I'm getting rid of the V@H is there to loud. I will run these pipes on the quietest setting. Where do you have them set that there that loud. When my buddy had them set the loudest position then it sucked but at the quiet mode very very nice,

I can only say you must be hard of hearing, ever had the baffles out? They are about 12inches long and all steel, they have a half circle that when inserted can be turned from a closed inlet where all exhaust goes thru the baffle to a varable of the center hole being open a little to full open hole thru the center, this setting is HP, the full closed is torque, the PCIII map is for left torque(closed) right to HP(full open) this creates a near 2into1 system and its loud! with both closed its quiter but doesnt preform as well. They are louder than, rhinehardts, vance and hines, SEII's, samsons these are the ones I compared them too. but if you like them and they seem quite to you, then why worry, they do sound good and make great power.

I don't care about power, If I did I would of kept my VTX 1800. This is a little itty bitty engine to me, I bought this bike just for cruising so I don't care how it's set up to make it quieter as long as it runs good. It looks like you really know what your talking about but no going back now, the pipes are on the way. If I don't like them i'll get different one's. that's what's nice about options.
RE: How do you like your Hooker Tuned Flow slip ons
I ordered mine, hoping to get it before the weekend. How easy is it to install? does it come with the clamps or can I re-use my old ones? I currently have the V&H duals and ovals slip ons. Is anyone running the Hookers with duals? and how do they sound/perform. Thanks.
RE: How do you like your Hooker Tuned Flow slip ons
Got mine and installed it today! ( wow it came the next day ) Anyway, removing the previous V&H ovals slip ons was a pain!... after I took that off It was easy putting the new Hookers on. LOVE the sound! a bit louder than the ovals but not too loud...altough I have'nt tried the external adjustments yet. I left both at the "T" (torque) settings. The bike sounds awesome, even at idle!... Not loud when cruising, but nice throaty sound when you twist the throttle...I left the current SERT map as it is running great at the moment with no Decel pops.
