OK I traded my 92 heritage for an 07 RK classic 1 month ago. I am still trying to figure out the muffler SE AC kit and SERT.
Yesterday my wife and I go to Thunder in the Rockies Rally in Loveland CO. Everyone else there has Thunder, we have a Singer sewing machine. Don't get me wrong I love the bike but I need to add louder pipes. I have purchased some 65115-98Bs since I know they don't make them any more. My question is: Do I need to wait until the new SE AC kit is available (in Oct) or can I get the current AC with the new SERT add the mufflers and have it dynoed now?
The air kit for the 88 is said to be the same, they say the sert has a 07 program for that set up, but ive heard that the race tuner and dealer download programs will still be epa regulated, so you might want to get away from hd to get the best results, I talked to the vance and hines tech and their fuel pack has been dynoed and tested on the 07 touring and is said by them to give good power and torque gains without loosing decent gas mileage and unlike the PCIII you do not have to remove your 02 sensors, its cheaper than a sert too.
