it would stabilize the high speed but would be worse when riding at slow speeds. another thing to consider is that it would destroy the resale value of the bike. imagine someone is looking for a good used streetglide. imagine going to look at a used streetglide and you find out that the neck has been raked. i wouldn't have any interest in anything that has been modified in such a permanent way. and welcome to the forum mike, you've got a great year of streetglide by the way.

It will make a heavy bike feel even heavier in close quarters maneuvering.

Finding someone to rake the boxed frame won't be easy. I guess you could use the very expensive aftermarket sidecar trees. Then you are going to need to lengthen the fork tubes.

I think it will look funny with that boxed frame exposed and the front end raked, but if you like it that's all that matters.

do yourself a big favor and do not rake it.

go ride a raked bike for a few miles and you'll see why. Takes the low speed handling right out of the bike, stresses the bejesus out of frame and forks ( the forks are already schit) and your ride quality is going to go to near zero.

I seen a post here(4 august)that talked about using a triglide" clamps" so would'nt be cutting my frame, just enough rake to be noticed and no adverse effects, trying to get more info, their not talking anymore about it,I asked my local dealer and they said,oh really,so it's something I'll do myself.

I have 3 degree trees on one of my Sportsters and they work pretty well except at low speeds it tends to want to ground loop once in a while which is easy to deal with on a Sporty but would be a real handfull on a BT, I'd pass on the racked trees on such a heavy bike unless you are a real gorilla.

Probably will get noticed and will have adverse effects on low speed handling. Do what you want, but don't say we didn't warn you.

I have two sidecar bikes (61 FLH, 76 FLH). Both have adjustable trees. You do not want to ride them solo with the trees in the raked position. It is not fun and they weigh much less than a modern bagger.

When you decide that the Tri Glides are not for you and you want to ditch those expensive trees at a discount, please let me know. I have Champion Sidecar I'd like to hook up to the FLHT.
