Used bike prices. Whats up with that?

I stopped into the St. Paul HD dealer ship 2 weeks ago. I was looking at the 2011 Roadglide Ultra. I asked the salesman if he wanted to take a look at my 05 Electraglide to see if they would make me a offer on trade ($10,000 worth of up grades on my bagger) he said "we offer NADA on all trade ins so I don't have to look at your bike" I guess he was just being straight up but It felt more like a kick in the plums to me.
Folks who think of them as an "investment" are fooling themselves, they ad no value at all to the bike - and often make it worth even less to a potential buyer.
