I love my new bike but I hate the stock bars. I had +2 Khrome Werks sweepers on my 07. I really liked them especally the wrist angle. I'd put a set on this bike except I really want some 1 1/4 fat bars and the KW bars are only 1".
Does anyone have a suggestion for a fat bar that is similar to the sweepers?
look at Wild One's Outlawz bars or any others on their website, heres a link to pictures of Road Glides, including mine
Your stock bars just about have your hands above the fairing now. My 10 inch OutlawZ's came today. I took them out and compared them(best I could) with the stock bars. They are taller, but just not enough. The people at Wild1's are very easy to talk to, my 10 inch go back tomorrow and the 12's should be here in a couple weeks. It will be a bigger job than I had hoped since I'll have to get a cable and hose. May even have to get some wires.
FLoTR....I put the 12" on my CVO and didn't have to extend wires or anything....re-routed my clutch line behind the steering head instead of in front, and removed the metal clip holding down my brake line and it was long enough also.
Ozoneman,
Not sure what I'm going to do with them. You got a need?
The Screaming Eagle RGU has different handlebars than the regular RGU. The RGU bars don't come back as far as the RGUSE. I was thinking that it would be a little more comfortable for me if I changed my handlebars to the RGUSE bars. I may have trouble convincing my wife that it is necessary though.
2011 Road Glide Ultra. I too suffered from neck and upper back cramping with the stock bars. After shopping around I decided to try the Heritage style bar in black (55864-09). Much easier reach for me, great control, and much less cramping.
I was also dissappointed with the stock mirrors which did not provide satisfactory rearward visibility. I substituted the long stem mirrors in black (91909-03B and 91910-03B), which are much better.
