Same here, Mine started going out on My 08 FLHT at 35,000 mi. They had to replace the alternator also.

same thing happen to me and finely the starter just was spinning.
new starter fixed the problem

Same here, mine went bad at 18K and changed out to a SE comp and problem solved. Neutral is easier to find also.
