I'm running a MOCO 7" smoked windshield on my FLHTC, and would like opinions from others that are using the new 7" flared as to the difference between the two. At roughly $160 any info would be great.
Save yourself some money and buy an LRS windshield. They have numerous sizes and tints to choose from and they are a lot less expensive than the H-D products. I just got a LRS 9-inch Classic Flipup in light grey tint for my Ultra and couldn't be happier with it. The quality is as good or better than the 10-inch lightly smoked H-D windshield I replaced and it was $69.99 compared to the H-D windshield that is listed at $124.95. LRS has a windshield that compares to the Harley one you are interested in. It is called the X-Stream Flipup and sells for $89.95. It comes in 7,8,9 and 10 inch in clear, light gray, medium gray, dark gray and black. I had no problems with my new LRS windshield, but I have read on this forum that their customer service is topnotch if you have any issues with their products.
Take a look at: www.fastaire.com I'm running one of his new shields that does'nt have the flip at the top, but a gentle curve. Mine's a 7", light tint. It works great on my 07 SG. You can also call Jim at Fastaire and he will get you what you need at a great price, provides excellent service and shipping.
Fastaire.com You can't beat the price, so if you end up with one too short or too long, you can get another one for about $41.00. I have two. One clear, one tinted.

+1 on the Fast Aire! Hard to beat shields for the price!
