have a new 2006 ultra classic and i brought it in for a recall for the front fork lock. while at dealer they also replaced injectors that were also involved in a recall. if you have a 2006 ultra classic and it pops and farts after starting check out the recall. it might be your problem
Injectors are definitely not a recall. They are only changed out to the 25° injectors if your bike has the symptoms described in the bulletin or your service department is nice and just does it under warranty without giving you a hassle about it. Mine were changed 10 days after the bulletin came out last February.
I went to my dealer with a copy of the service bulletin, and told them about some symptoms, the service person ask me if I could wait for it, it'll take about 1 1/2 hrs. And less than 2 hours later, I was back on the road with the new 25 deg injectors. I guess it really depends on the dealer attitude and customer service. So far, cant say anything neg about the local dealer here in Nassau NY.
Just got back from the dealer tonight, 900 k ride. They did both the fork lock and the injector mods and now it sounds like its full of marbels under load. Sounds like my old chev when the timing was set wrong. Anyone else having this problem?
