Default Cats on CA '09 RKC

I've asked before and I ask again because I'm gettin' conflicting responses:

Where's the catalytic converter element located on my bike?

I've been told they're in the mufflers, and I have Bub 7 slip-ons, so my cats are gone, right?

Or is the cat still lurking in there where the header pipes come together at the junction or in the connector itself?

Remember: mine is a Kaliforn-eye-ay model.

As others said, On 09 Cali spec bikes the cat is in the header pipe.

I'll be swapping out my head pipe on my RK to rid it of the cat as well

Like Johan96 says , It's still there and you have to get a aftermarket headpipe or cut n weld your stock headpipe to get rid of the cat.

Here's one cut in half.

That is just plain scary looking!

More and more leaning to having my dealer put on the dresser duals before delivery

Default The cat is just behind your right foot

That's why there is so much heat there. I just installed the V&H Power Duals and low and behold, no more heat. Mine is a Canadian market bike so we get all the crap those Cali bikes get, except for the charcoal canister. Get the V&H Power Duals and surprise yourself with a noticeable boost in get up and go.
