I finally had time last week to install my Khrome Werks 300515's. They will take a little getting used to but so far I love them. No more shoulder fatique on long rides!
Went with a +2" clutch cable and routed back in the stock location. Word of advise.... if you disconnect the clutch cable and pull out from the frame, letting it lay on the ground overnight..... oil will run out of the transmission! I know from experience...DOH!
Ran all wiring internally on the new bars which makes for a clean install. Extended the TGS harness myself. Switch harnesses were long enough, but barely so. Had to re-route things in the fairing for connectors to mate. I have heard people say there is plenty of slack in the switch wiring, not on this '10 UC.
Another word of advice...doing the internal wiring is not a job for the faint of heart. I have been an electrical engineer for 30 years, regularly work with these same type connectors and have all the tools to do so, they are a PITA! Getting them apart is no issue, getting the secondary lock back all the way in can be a nightmare.
Overall, it was a straight forward install. Takes a little time and patience but the outcome is worth it.
Yes, I have to do something with my fairing mounted mirrors, just haven't deceded what yet.
