front brakes hum after new wheel install

Default front brakes hum after new wheel install
had 21/18 set up installed 2-weeks ago lately noticed a slight hum not a squeal when hard braking in front after about 5-seconds of braking is there a brake in period for new rotors i did not change the pads.thanks rome

I am having this same problem with my 21" wheel and new rotors I just put on my bike. They also make a little hissing noise while going down the road. Not to much but some.

me too, think its because the new rotors have a different wear pattern on the pads than the old ones. will keep my eye on this thread for an answer.

sure someone can give us some info after all the $$ spent hopefully the pads will seat properly.

Be sure it's not the tire rubbing on the inside of the fender. Had the dealer install chrome forks on mine and put the fender on incorrectly for the 21 inch wheel. It rubbed and bubbled the paint. I noticed it was making the hissing noises described above.

had it on the jack no clearance problems only hear the noise when hard front braking.

you have to change your pads when you change your rotors.

your rotor does not happen to be full floaters? they made a buzzing sound when i applied the brakes. performance machine told thats how they are.

decided to go with new pads dealer has 15% off this weekend should i stay with hd pads or go with lyndall?
