Finally got the Mrs a in helmet audio setup-its a HD boom mike and speakers-went for a ride last night and encountered some issues

When we are both plugged in, I can hear her, she cant hear me-when i go into set up mode-the "squelch" display seems to stay on the screen no matter what i do-never seems to go away

Occasionally, she said she can hear me faintly

The button for my "vox" setup is pooched and only adjusts down-not up-so i was hoping that the intercom would simply work on the PTT button

Is it supposed to work on PTT or does the VOX have to work? Does the Intercom button have to be on for it to work or can you use the CB system?
