I knew it would happen again, sooner or later. Got stung by something this afternoon. Have put 53,000 miles on the scoot since June of '07. I assume it flew in and up my short sleeve t-shirt, then proceeded to make love to my armpit! Guess it coulda been worse, only hit me once and was on a two lane road with nobody in sight on a straight stretch going about 40 MPH. Turned loose of the throttle and smacked and squeezed the chit out of the sleeve-armpit area. Was sorta hating the idea of letting go of the shirt as it might still be alive and wanting to have continued the courtship. Fortunately, it must have left the love den. Was scared to move much for a minute or so thinking it fell down in my tucked in shirt. Back in the late '70's while riding my 1978 Honda CB550K, I had a wasp fly in the opening under the flip shield of a full face helmet and bust me on the lower lip. I stopped right away thinking there might be some kind of an allergic reaction with it stinging me so close to to my already weak brain. Freaking thing swelled up so big in about ten minutes time I could see my bottom lip while looking straight ahead! I hate bees, especially those F-14 looking wasps. I will catch a snake but run like a little girl when one of those stinging things starts to hang around too long for my liking...
I got hit by a bee when I first got my Glide while transitioning from the 110S to the 5 North freeway. Damn thing stung me in my neck...and I am allergic! The asshat I was riding with wouldn't pull off the freeway (he was probably mad he was still on a V-Star 650). I got the stinger out and iced it and it was all good...still hate the buggers tho!
