Default '09 RKC may say bye-bye to IDS...

...because I'm looking to go 30-tooth up front and 70-tooth out back and IDS may have to go unless somebody makes a smaller, modified IDS.

07 They weren't stock that year, but the retrofit kits are actually the production 08 parts.
08 came stock with IDS.

09-11 different setup completely.

I just replaced my IDS bearing after 46,000 miles. Fortunately, it waited until I got back from Sturgis to fail. Only indication was a couple of clicks starting out in first gear. When dealer picked it up, I noticed a continuous clicking when rolling the bike.

Just noticed this thread. I have 86,000 on my 07 Ultra, 84,000 of them with the original IDS kit. Have the rear tire off right now and the bearing is smooth as silk. I see no need to change.

That's good to hear.
Like Iclick mentioned earlier, I also run the E3's and have close to 17k miles on them. When I have my bike on the lift all "sounds" well. Just have no need to remove the wheel to check yet.
That's some serious miles you're puttin down! How's it runnin?
