What exactly is this set-up this guy sells for a $189. I called him once trying to find out how this works. Can anybody explain it? Has anybody done this to a bike? Did it work ok? Does it look like a Bag of ****?
I put it on my '01 RKC. I LOVE IT!!!!! It takes the place of your y-pipe and makes it into a "true" dual exhaust. It reduces the temp on the right side, especially if you ride w a passenger. Regarding the looks...I don't have any issues with it. The heat shield on the right side will show a seam as you try to butt up the 2 heat shields, but there is someone now making a 1 piece heat shield to combat this. I also put a PCIII on it afterwards (was planning to anyway) to re-map the air/fuel ratio since now it will "flow" different compared to stock.
Got it on my '03 RKC. Heat reduction on the right side is significant plus the two distinct exhaust notes will make you smile. You're not going to do better for the price.

It works great. I had one on my bike earlier this year before I changed out to Rinehart true duals. The only thing that looks goofy is the heatshields on the right side. You re-use the original heat shields, but no matter how you arrange them, it looks cobbled together. Harley Goodies sells a 24" straight heat shield which looks great, but costs about 60 bucks, and by the time you get the fullsac and the heat shield, you're about 250 bucks into it. For just a little bit more, you can usually find true dual headers on ebay from BUB or V&H.
I spoke to the guy once and he really kinda talked me out of it. He needs to go to salesmen school. I think I will order it. By the sounds of it, it works pretty good. Thats one of my biggest problems is my right legs gets so hot I think my pants are going to catch on fire. I have watched for a set of true duals but have seen them sell for 4-500 used. This will be a cheap way to get the sound and get rid of the heat. With my H-D off road mufflers it should sound Great!!!!!
One thing about all the Harley exhaust systems I find strange is that not one company advertises a horsepower gain from installing a exhaust system or a component. I do alot of stuff with snowmobiles. Every single company that makes exhaust systems will claim a 5 h.p. gain or as much as 20 h.p. on some of the full sets of pipes. The same goes for pick-ups.

I've got no connection with this ebay ad, just an example I found. This is just headers, not a full system.
