I have decided to do the oil change on my '07 Ultra. I warmed it up, removed the filter and drain plug, only 2 qts came out. When I thought this was all (This bike doesnt leak or burn oil) I proceeded to refill and this resulted in taking only 2 qts to fill. Where is the other 1.5 qts? How do I get it out?
You're kidding right?
First post on the forum and you post THAT!
Did you drain it while it's on the jiffy stand??????
If anyone is interested in what looks like the final result of the problem...original question that started the thread...here it is:
First: Thanks to Jamie at Fuelmoto and the fella that supplied the DTC codes. Between the two I gathered enough information to figure out the problem and Jamie/Fuelmoto gave me a map that works better and a good start to getting this combination to run right.
When the dealer install all this stuff, they forgot to install the CAN termination plug in the AT system of the PC V. That plug enables the PC V to read the o2 sensors and make adjustment. The maps that have been loaded, both the one the dealer put in and the one given to me from Fuelmoto are to lean above 4K. The fuelmoto map had significant changes to the area of concern on the map...but, was still too lean. Now that the AT is working correctly, it will help tune that area to perfection. I will manually add fuel to help the process as how many of us truly spend much time at and above 4K.
Again, thanks to this forum and it's sponsors and members, I was able to get this bike running and will eventually have the perfect map for my scoot.
