Let me say this, I now have a 2011 Street Glide. I have owned a 2007,2008 and 2009 touring bikes. The parts catalog for those years show a Stage II upgrade to a 103 w/SE 255 cams, SE A/C and mufflers. Noted by the entry for this kit is the necessity to purchase a download to the stock ECM. That denotes HD has a download.
I am not privy at this time to the parts catalog for the 2011 bikes. However, does anyone know for a fact that a download exists for the 2011 bikes w/Stage II kit?
I can't say for certain, but I would be damned surprised if they did not. What I do find disturbing is that they can only keep your bike under warranty following a cam upgrade if you buy the package, including SE mufflers. My dealer used to do cams all the time and warrant them, as long as they approved the cams, but no more. What the hell using SE slip ons has to do with saying a cam upgrade will be covered under warranty is beyond me, although it sounds like the direction you are going. Sorry if I went off topic, I just found this out today.
Confrontational subject lines won't get you much help. None of us actually work for you.
You've been here for what, 50 posts and YOU'RE THE ONE with the negative attitude. All he said was he needed a straight answer, how is that confrontational???
To the OP, I'm not positive of if they've got the download or not, but after the last three bikes you've had you didn't just go with a fuel management system? If I was doing any kind of engine modifications (which I'm in the middle of right now) there's no way I'd go with a factory download. You'll never get as much performance out of a download as you will a good fuel management system and a dyno-tune.

First of all.....I was not trying to be confrontational and blasting me for such was uncalled for. I came to this forum for information....I know some of the members probably work for HD and was really looking for their help.
And yes, it did occur to me to ask my dealer and obviously I wasn't sure I was getting a straight answer. That is why I asked the question....if they aren't being straight then I probably should seek to take my business elsewhere.
I just find it hard that HD would have a kit (stage II) and tell you that you need to have the download...then not have one. That just doesn't make sense to me and has started my BS sniffer to twitching...lol.

Dude the OP's been around since 2007. You, not so much. A little respect?
As to the original post. Well, maybe . . . certainly you can get closer than stock and make sure you don't do any damage but a proper tune is
preferred. The best way to maximize your likelihood of being able to use a straight map is to use all Harley parts because I guarantee there's no maps available for anything else!
I want to thank those that "took up" for me with the other fella.....but, maybe he was having a bad day and how I wrote the subject line may have just poked him the wrong way.
I posted my answer to his comment before seeing other responses...otherwise I would not have addressed it. He doesn't need, nor anyone here need to get flamed.
Anyway...I am going a different route because of what they told me....just to bad they didn't tell me before they got the cam shipped and in the bike...I would have went with a woods or maybe the SE 211.
Anyway, because of the issue with the download....here is the dinner: SE 255 cam, Ventilator intake, V&H true duels, PCV w/autotune.
Anybody got a good map for that set up?
And for those of you who responded trying to help...thanks. That is what this forum has been about for years.

Oh - wait a minute, I get it. You've bought a couple of CVOs in the last year or so. Sorry, please forgive me. I bow before your superior status on this board.
ok - I guess that's a little mean spirited - sorry

Nope - you're going to have to pay someone to tune it. Sucks I know but what can you do?
