Cee Bailey.......and please consider a trim piece thats similar to the 2011 CVO Road Glide Windshield instead of one of those goofy rubber things they put on at the factory.

Please send pics.
I had 5 different shields on my 07. I now have a 2011 RGU. The shield on my new bike is one of the best. Here is a list with my reviews.

1. 2011 RGU stick windshield. HD has copied the angle of the Clearview to give this shield a steeper without interfering with the mirrors. I am very happy with this stock shield.

2. Clearview +1 (medium). Their shields are made of much thicker material so their is no vibration. You can also see through it very well. I used this shield for 2 years and likes it very much. Cons - mirrors hit it and the HD chrome trim did not fit well and left a large gap at the bottom.

3. Klock Werks 12" - Looks cool but doesn't give very good wind protection.

4. Windvest 12" - This is one of the best I used. It has a more upright angle and curve at the top. Very good protection plus it looks good. I had the smoked version.

Here are some pictures.

No pictures of the Klock Werks because I couldn't stand it for more than a week.

Still running the stocker on my 11 RGU. IT works pretty good, except it vibrates and I find this distracting. I am 5'11" and if sitting up somewhat, look just over the shield, and it is almost perfect, because I can easily tuck in behind it if need be. I get jut a tad of buffeting around my ears unless I tuck in behind it some, then no air. My wife says she gets crazy air riding pillion. Much more so then on the batwing. Probably do to shape and the way the air is thrown out at the sides on the wing vice the shark.

A good friend has an older RG and I was over at his house and started looking at his shields. Some didn't seem to line up right on mine... like HD changed the spacing on the screw holes or something, so I didn't actually try any on my bike. However, what stuck out to me was the Rifle, it was thick and had a curve at the top. The Cee Baily he had was nice also, but not as thick. He had the Klockworks on his bike. IT looks cool and all, but he specifiaclly said it didn't work so well untill he hit about 70mph. Another friend has a RG w/ Cee Bailey SSC and loves it.

PS: Need a tester?

I agree with others about the 2011 RGU stock shield...works good for me.

Clearview +1... I've tried, the OEM shield on my '05 FLTR, then tried the CeeBailey replacement... worse (to me) that the OEM... I tried the CB 7" shorty, because it looked "cool" that came off, a week later
I picked the CV, off thier blem page... with a vent. I'm not sure the vent does much for the rider, as I'm so far away... but it does wonders for the air flow, I leave it open all the time, except during rain.
The clear view is thicker, , but, as noted, the mirror strike the shield, before full lock

Maybe I'll have to go with Heritage style or some of those dog-legged "bagger bars" to clear the edges of a better shield.
The key to bars is to get narrow bars on the RG. This is what I have and will be my Winter project. 12" narrow apes.

BTW, these bars are BEAUTIFUL, FAT, AND CHROME. (also available black).

I've been waiting for someone to mount the OutlawZ! How about make it a Fall project.

You CeeBailey guy's...it really helps if you tell me if you have the Euro, Dome or Screaming Eagle version. Some of you have, but the other piece is are you on a RGC (10-11) with the fairing a bit higher or the 09 or earlier with the lower fairing. I have the KW 12" and LOVE its looks and around town nature (I like wind) but when going 75mph + for long trips I do need more protection. If you can build a shield with the looks of a KW or Ceebailey with the protection of a windvest I'd buy that.

Thanks BIG TIME Steve. Those WOs are almost the same measurements as the Pauchos I'm thinking of:

Paughcos = 11" tall, 11-1/2" center width, 31-1/2" wide, 8" pullback
Wild 1s = 12" tall, 10" center width, 33-1/2" wide, 8" pullback

Seems like either would be just as likely to have acceptable clearance with a better windshield. Man those WOs sure are a big step up in quality though. Paughcos are a lot cheaper and it's real easy to see why too. They're also a little shorter but a little narrower at the grips.

Oh well... more food for thought WRT which windshield style would work best too.

Just wondering what the side measurement on the Windvest is from the fairing up to the top corner? It looks like the sides aren't as tall as the center, and if it's under 10" high on the side my bars would clear it.

i have the windsplitter from hd. don't know who makes it and badges it for hd though. while i like the shield, a lot, for summer riding, i think that i would like something a little bigger for winter riding.
