Default Airhawk seat pad

Has anyone tried or is using the airhawk seat pad? If you do what do you think about it ? good or bad. I need something. I seam to sweat one longer rides. Need to get some air under me to dry off. I have tried the gel seat pad and don't care for them.

I use one for rides over 200 miles. It's better than just the stock seat but it does add a little to the saddle height. Don't put too much air in it...just enough to keep you off the surface of the seat. Bought mine from an E-bay vendor.

Bought one and used it for about a month, didn't like it so I sold it on e-Bay.
Bought a Road Zepplin seat about a year ago and now I'm happy.

I have one and use it also on long trips and it worked great , however just had my seat worked from Mean City Seats and getting it broke in. I still am hanging on to my Airhawk. jd

My wife used one on our last bike, she loved it. Have a friend that uses one on his HD, says it's great.

I agree with IBM-HD. Put just enough air in it to let the thing shape to you. I love mine.

I don't leave town without it. I don't put much air in it so therefore it doesn't add much to the seat height.

It's a little cooler than sitting on the stock seat but I haven't noticed a whole lot of ventilation with the AirHawk. It would probably provide more air flow with more air in the bladder but that defeats the comfort; if you can feel the individual cells on your butt (which would provide air channels), there is too much air in it.

I been thinking about one as well. Getting a bit of air flowing down there on the hot days would be a good thing. Maybe I will get one this winter.

Take a look at the seat beads. I think the website is www.cyclecrafts.net I've had mine for 2 yrs and can tell you that they work to keep you cool in the summertime and also distribute the pressure points on your behind on long rides.Plus they are alot cheaper than the Airhawk.

I use an airhawk (large cruiser model) on my Ultra for my longer rides. It does raise you up on the seat a little bit, which takes a little getting used to.
I recently did a couple 1000+ miles days with my airhawk on the stock seat. No issues at all.
I purchased mine from DerbyCycles, but this place seems to offer free shipping.
