knocking the baffles out of a stock muffler wont hurt the bike any, and might give a tiny bit of power, but it sounds horrable..not like a harley more like a loud riding mower with a exhaust leak

I wouldn't recommend running without baffles, the mufflers should be replaced. If they were aftermatket then maybe you could get replacement baffles but since they are stock, they are now garbage. You can get a pair of slip-ons or do a full system, it all depends on what you want and what you can afford. Unless you want to go with true duals or 2-into-1, I suggest you keep the stock 09 headers, they work very well. JMO
Ditto, Baffles are needed for back pressure a component of a better running engine.
