That is a huge difference in price. Lakeshore HD has free shipping this month over $500.00.

I too would love to hear side by side honest reviews on both.

I haven't done a side-to-side comparison. I can tell you that the light from the LED is amazing, and I can't imagine the Harley unit is twice as good. I got the light directly from Custom Dynamics, though Eastern Performance carries some of their stuff as well (got my LED turns and Triple Play from them).

The Custom Dynamics is the same as the Kuryakyn and they are both nothing more then the Truck Lite LED headlight that came out last year. Dunno about the Kury but CD sells them right in the Truck Lites packaging. Personally if it was me I would get the HD (or black one from JW Speaker) and find some white passing lamp bulbs that would match the light output from the LED headlight. If that headlight throws out as much light as it looks like I wouldn't think that the passing lamps would add much at all. So it would be all about appearance.

One other thing to keep in mind...The CD/Kury/TruckLite has a 3 year warranty, the Harley light has 1 year.

If your headlamp is not sealed, check these bad boys out.

Don't let the price fool you. I purchased an automobile set for my truck last year. The lighting at night was such a huge difference, bought a set for both cars and my bike. I am running the 8000K and my headlamp is a non sealed unit with a H4 bulb. The price is great with a warranty. I am going to replace the internal part of my passing lamps with a set of 4.5" Adjure lamps with H3 bulbs. That way I can run a set of the DDM lights in the passing lamps, too.

I broke down and bought the HD LED because my parts guy offered me a hell of a deal since I was ordering a bunch of other stuff also. I installed last night and got a chance to take some pics this evening:

This is the area I took the pics of. No lights on at all.

This is with the LED flash on my phone's camera.

This is with the headlight and spots on my wife's Shadow ACE.

This is with both the Shadow's headlight and the SG headlights on.

This is with JUST the Street Glide's LED headlight on. Nothing else.

That is with the bike on the stand in the backyard. The bike is about 15 feet from the fence.

Then I decided to open the gates and see how it shone out of the gate:

That was out the gate with the bike off upright, on low beam.

And the final one is of the highbeam.

Big difference from stock and I CANNOT wait till it stops raining so I can go ride (hopefully tomorrow night).
If I am able to I will attach the camera and take some video of driving with the LED headlight. So far I am really impressed.
