PC-V is the economical way to do it, and you don't have to drop $300 bucks to have it dynoed every time you turn around to change something on your bike.

You (yes) yourself can even do it w/out the dealers help,(think of that, oh my) simply by plugging in a USB cord via a laptop w/a pre-loaded map and down load it to your
PC-V and changing your own map. Happens everyday.

I think H-D came out with a second version tuner for 2011. The SEPST is completely tuneable while the newer version is downloadable maps only. The SEPST lists for approx $475 and the map only one is something like $329 ???

As I believe they then charge you for each downloadable map, seems much better to just get the SEPST and it can download the maps for you. Zanotti's has some better pricing

I just got a SEPST from Zanotti's and it was $256. You have to buy the cables for $30 and you can do your own downloads. It of course is based on hd se street legal upgrades. For me that was no problem as I have a SE a/c and epa compliant SE slip ons.

Ultimately I will probably regret wasting the $256 because it only works on the bike it is married to but for at least a couple of years it will keep me satisfied.

Not to start a flame session, but I paid $235 for my SEPST a year ago, and $30 for the cables. Download your own map, smartune, re-generate the map, and re-flash the ECM. Happens every day this way as well. No dyno time needed. Did put mine on an event day, and the tune was spot on for AFR at part and WOT pulls. Both units are great. Cheers!!

Can you use other maps with others that have this set up then?
Where do you download your map from?
Does SEPST have a site then where you can do this?
I guess that I would use what ever is the least amount of BS to go through... to get the job done.
PC-V is quite simple.

Cheers to you too..

TTS Mastertune for $400.

Nothing against the PCV. It is a very good tool. I just wanted to be able to modify the ECM and retain the O2 sensors.

Yes, the maps can be used from other SEPST.
The maps are the software CD. Just download a map for your components and go from there.
The PCV is great too, Jamie at FuelMoto has a ton of maps in his library.

Yes I know. That is why that I went the PC-V way, due to all the support for it from F/M.
They have very good maps..and they always have time to talk to you on the phone..to answer questions..
