Default Factory Lube

What tranny fluid does the factory use in 2011 6spd.
Level is a little low and manual calls for Formula+ or Syn 3. Can I add either one, or don't mix the two?
Don't want to change yet, just want to bring up to level.

It's comes with H-D 360 20w50 in the motor and Formula+ in the tranny and primary unless it is a CVO in which case it's all SYN 3.

Seems to me the manual says check transmission with bike level-I could be wrong. Are you checking with bike on kickstand?

Take it back to the dealer and have them fill it..they should have caught it on the predelivery check...how many miles on bike?

If it's still reading on the dipstick you'll be ok. Besides, you, or the dealer will be changing it at the first 1000 miles anyway.
Most likely Formula +, unless it's a Screaming Eagle - then Syn 3 as stated previous.

My manual reads check with bike on the jiffy stand. Checked it twice.

Did they change the trans oil-check procedure for the 6 speed? The manual for my '04 RK says to check the trans oil with the bike standing straight up and level. If I had a problem with the transmission oil level on a new bike, I'd take it back to the dealer.

Page 161 of the 2011 manual. Bike on Jiffy stand.
Bike is going back Sat for trans noise. Already informed the dealer that the level was at the add mark.

Just check my owner's manual and it does say to check transmission level with bike on kickstand. Sorry.
