Has anyone tried the new lowering harley shocks(54680-10) that are not air and have a manual adjustment behind left saddle bag? I would like to lower bike but hear horror storys about the short air shocks.
1st off don't waist your time, money and back on the shorter air shocks.
The ride is too harsh, bottom out to easy and mine leaked air. I would have to fill them back up once a week.
So I put on a set of take off Ultra shocks and those where sweet (smooth).
But I did miss the feeling of the lower stance.
So I bought the shocks you are talking about and have about 500 miles on them and they are almost as good (95%) as the Ultra shocks. I would recommend them. I do not have to worry about them losing air and they are easily adjustable for solo or two up riding.
I bought the top of the line Progressive dual coil spring lowering shock for touring bikes. They ride better than stock air shocks but bottom out way to much and are way over priced.
