Default Needs the forums help!!!!!!

I'm having my Indy install S&S 510 gear drive cams in my 95". Also FUELING high flow oil pump, lifters and cam plate. They just got back to me and are charging me 2245.40. Is it just me or is that fricken crazy. I first did the cams and fell into a bit of cash so I decided to have them install the FUELING kit sence they were all ready in there and it wouldn't cost me anymore in labor 1250.00 for the fist upgrade and 1000.00 for the second the fueling kit is listed in custom crome for 750.00. Fill like I'm getting screwed. Feed back is requested..........

You had them do the work without getting pricing up front?? If so then you are on the hook for what they are charging you and yes they are getting more than they should

I had a a quote for the first set of work witch was 1250.00 and decided to throw the fueling kit in as an after thought(They already had it cracked open). The complete kits we looked at were about 750.00. So was prepaired to pay around 2000.00 I guess they got me for an extra 250.00

Default Yeah i know

Have been going to them for a while doing little things this was my first big ticket item and well it's going to be my last. It's my fault should of had them write it up then. Figured 800.00 bucks cause we all know they don't pay that price in the book. But hell wasn't planing on paying 1000.00 thats for sure. DAMN DAMN DAMN..

Remember back in the day when anything you wanted to do to your scoot was generally about half the cost of the things you did to your car!!!

You bad for not getting a new price on the Fueling stuff; but, no way you should sit still for mark-up on Fueling stuff above listed prices. You can at least talk to the owner about getting price reduced to list price. If you don't have the will to do so, just pay the extra.

It's just pisses me off. Where do these guys get off jacken with folks that way. The stealership wanted 2400.00 with a warrenty atleast. WFT the list the suggested retail price to them apperantly is just that a suggestion. Will talk to them when I pick up the bike today. Don't want to start bitchen till there done with the bike. I hate the filling when you get when you know your getting screwed.
