Sprocket covers
Looking to dress up the left side a bit on my 2008 FLHTC, anyone knows of a chrome sprocket cover that'll fit? The ones I've found only fit '07 Touring bikes.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I’ll provide some guidance on the subject since no one has attempted to answer.
Your 2008 bike has a pulley system unlike the older models. It’s actually called a rear wheel compensator due to the new way Harley decided to address some jerkiness in the bike after changing the engine a bit I would not be surprised. This pulley is multi piece unit that has dampening pieces that helps with providing the rider with smoother riding experience. I do not believe the aftermarket folks will come up with a piece for this (supply and demand) just not cost effective if you ask me. Now your probably wondering if you can replace the whole thing……..ANSWER>Most likely yes,, But that will not be recommended by the dealer, (H-D), or me because it would ruin what they wanted to achieve and could also diminish quality of the ride. RECOMMENDATION >>> If it’s really a big deal to you, be hardcore and remove pulley from rear wheel, disassemble pulley, and get the outer portion worked on by a professional polisher or attempt to get it chrome plated..
