thanks to all you guys who mentioned shoei RF 1000, rode all last winter fighting the fog. Found my helmet box and there it was the nose and chin cover, i put them on the helmet immediately, only wear this ff in the winter
I haven't read all through the posts here, but if nobody else has suggested it, try a 'Fog City' insert. Sort of double-glazes your visor on the inside. Don't leave your helmet in your tourpak, take it inside with you to keep warm.
I do get a very slight bit of lighting distortion/flare at night with the pinlock shield on, but nothing terribly objectionable. It is not a deal-breaker at all.
Buy a Scorpion helmet. Antifog is built into the face shield. I can't tell you how many rides in the cold or raining and it never fogged up.
I have owned a Scorpion EXO-700 and Arai Profile. Both claim their visors are anti fog. My experience has been that they are not. Both fogged on me. The only thing that seemd to work is anti fog spray, and only then if I applied it every second ride.
I have an anti-fog visor insert in my Nolan, works great for the helmet.
My issue though is my glasses. Cat Crap helps exactly zero. I've had the containers about 2yr. Wonder if they have a shelf life...? They seemed to help a little anyway last winter. Didn't make any improvement today while riding today in the 20^s. I've even wondered if anti-fog glass or plastic is available when we purchase out bifocals, trifocals etc...
