I work at a mining operation. They guys on our mine rescue team who regularly wear and train with breathing apparatuses and full face masks use baby shampoo on their face masks. Rub it in, let it dry and wipe it off. They say it works better than the expensive anti-fog stuff they were using to keep their face masks from fogging.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I tried some of the coatings and they helped. Gonna try the pinlock and see how well it works. I just had foot surgery so it will be awhile before I can try it out. Think I'll try the face mask too.

I tested this tonight after reading here. Thin layer of Dawn on my glasses & helmet flip-down visor. Allowed to dry then micro-fiber. Stood in the driveway (19^) and TRIED to fog up my glasses. Couldn't. This from the same guy (me) who had so much trouble with an earlier ride. Don't know how long it'll last yet but I'm sold!

just wear shorts while riding, you'll forget about the fogging being an issue. nah, just teasing, obviously. like the others who replied, use a fog spray, or crack open the shield to where it gets enough flow to keep the faceshield clear of fog.

No need to stomp the cat. Just go to the litter box and pick up a clump. Apply generously to the inside of the shield. This should eliminate fogging because you probably won't be wearing it very much.

Good luck with all of these tips. I've tried several and have never had 100% luck, even with the pinlock windshield although I think it is probably the best solution. What I do is more technique than anything.

Always keep the vent open in the front of your helmet. You don't want it to get warm in there.

When starting out on a ride, keep the visor half way up in order to cool your face down and help prevent fogging.

Always open the visor at stop lights. Keep it cracked at slow speeds around town.

I only snap my visor all the way down when running at high speeds.

My pinlock visor will start to distort my vision after running at high speeds for about 25 minutes at around 20-25 degrees F. I crack the visor open for a little bit then it's clear again. Not sure what this is but It's not fogging.
