I went with the 49 tooth. I will be installing tomorrow. I hope it gets me where I want to be. I didn't want to get rid of the comp so the front sprocket is not an option. Recal with the Tmax and I should be good to go. I think the 49 is right where a guys wants to be. If you take the comp out and do the 30 tooth I think that might be a little to much. Just my opinion

Let me know how it works out for you. What kind of build do you have on your bike? I was also under the impression that any primary changes didn't require speedo recal

How do these two compare to the 30T Belt pulley as far as performance? Is the 49T ring gear more comparable to the belt pulley and the 30T engine sprocket a step above them both?

This all has really crushed my hopes of a 45$ pulley change lol
Yeah, the 49T turns a few more RPM than the 30T belt pulley. Baker says 2830 RPM at 75MPH, and I'm turning a little closer to 3000 at 75. The 30T engine sprocket would be slightly higher than that. In fact, Evo lists the 30T to be 3250 at 70. Might be a little much unless I was used to riding a 5 speed.

BTW, if you can ever get a mod done for $45 be sure and let me know.... lol

I will keep you all posted. I plan to take some pictures as well if the drilling of the basket so everyone can see what it involved. Pretty simple fix with the Tmax, Randy sent me a calculator they use to determine the new number that needs plugged in to make it work. Pretty cut and dry. I am going to do the comp at the same time so the whole deal shouldn't take very long I am hoping.

Yea I was not liking the listed RPM for the 30T engine sprocket. So the 49T would give more oomph than the 30T belt pulley?

And man I thought I had the 45$ in the bag till all my research showed that changing the belt is hit and miss

Also can anyone tell me if I go for the 49T from EVO do I need the counter bore tool? I'm not sure what that is for.
