When I extended my floorboards I took the heel shifter off. Never used it that much and I like having the extra room on my floorboard.

Much easier for me to push down with my heel than to lift with my toe. Doesnt mess up my boot either

Took mine off for aesthetic reasons. Sometimes miss it when trying to find neutral.

The first bike I ever rode had a one piece heel-toe shifter and when I bought my RK it brought back old memories. So it is staying on the bike and i use it.

Took it off and put the shaft cover on. Much more comfortable with extra foot room.

I usually use heel to shift into 2nd and 3rd after pulling away from a stop light, then continue with the toe from there.Lifting my foot from the ground and catching the heel on the way up to shift into 2nd then 3rd just seems natural.

I've often thought about adjusting it lower as some of ya here mentioned, gonna give that a try.

Also good knowing it's there as a another way to shift if my leg gets injured somehow. (been there, done that)

I love it. Keeps my boot nice. Reminds me of "spurring" a horse.
