I grew up in Eastern Canada on the coast and had some hills....little hills...Moved here 20 years ago and the first time i went over to the SMokies was in the car with the wife and WOW i was hooked...this was like 12 years ago...firs time on a Motorcycle was 3 years ago when i bought my Electra Glide...been about 15 times in 3 years now on the bike....It's unlike anywhere i have been, the people make it better...the heritage and the Clanish style is what i like up there...Similar to where i grew up.....FD2, i am glad you had a safe and EPIC ride....i am also glad that the Forum was a good way for you to get information....Cpt'n Itch seems like a Stand up guy and the Misses too...Maybe we will also meet one day...

That's a really close friend's biz.
I think your friend does the best job BadPiggy. My wife bought some pics from Killboy and had to call and raise hell to get her photo's. zeephoto was the one I couldn't remember. I'll tell the wife to use your friend next time.

I live not to far from DC and got over to Skyline Drive for the first time this year. You are correct regarding the 35 MPH limit... it gets old after a while. But living here and riding without a destination isn't too bad. I'll have to ride further down next time.

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to this side of the pond.

I am kickin' myself that we didn't think about taking picks earlier than the next morning when we all rode to the motorcycle dealer in Franklin, where Peter had to return the bike to.

The evening before could have made a picture of cozy living room with the fire going in the wood stove, because it was our first damp and almost cold night. So Larry thought to start the fire for Michelle and Peter to warm up.

To get warm on the inside, and to welcome them "Tennessee Style"...we could have made a picture of a mason jar with something that smelled like Apple Pie changing lips.

But no, we were so busy getting to know each other, and talking, and having a glass of wine, that all we can come up with are these from the next morning.

I also regret not having taken a picture when they returned the bike. All their "stuff" that was in/on the bike or on them was lined up along the wall of the building. We had no idea how they got all that on a bike.

But I didn't think of a picture, because about 15 minutes before we got there, I had the worst allergy attack, and I was just running around to get paper towels somewhere for my dripping nose. So the "Good Bye" fell a little short, but since they already know that they have to come back one day, it's alright...

You guys come back any time. You're always welcome here.
