Got the H-D ones, they're a deal at around a hundred dollars a piece. I run Lyndall Z+ pads with them and love the way the bikes stop.

Harley rear floater, Harrison 13" floaters on the front. With Billet-6 calipers of course! I have a dozen pots up front and 4 as back-up. Gets me by! I don't know why, but floating rotors seem to perform better, which is why I decided to go bigger as well.

I had this setup on a previous bike and it made a difference. My guess is since the rotor floats, any minor difference in axis still allows a wider/flatter contact area when the pads clamp down. I would imagine as the wheel flexes, so does the brake rotor and having a floating rotor would allow the disc to 'float' on the hub.

I asked the very same question just 2 weeks ago. Here is what info I was given. BTW, mine were more than a hundred bucks apiece. They cost me $218.28 a pair after discount and $17.58 to ship from Zanottis. I warped a stock rotor during a tire change and decided to go the floating rotor route.
