Anyone out there runnin Supertrapp SE with Fish Tail (more like airplane tail to me) -or- the Fat Shots on a Road King Classic? HD also has the Fatshotz (made by Supertrapp) pics of those ? How do you like em ?
SC
I am running Supertrapp fatshotz with open end cap. It was recommended by bschultz from supertrapp. You can find answers from supertrapp forum. And what I think about it is even with the open end caps fatshotz are quiet. You can easily listen to radio even at full throttle. Performance is nice I didn't feel less power at lower rpms. If you don't have modified engine they recommend supermegs. And if your bike is 08 or older you can't use HD fatshotz
I've had my Supertrapp Fatshots on my Road Glide for about a month now. Absolutely love the sound and definitely picked up some ponies and MPG. Look great too. Here's a link to a quick video:
.... And if your bike is 08 or older you can't use HD fatshotz
Fatshotz and the similar Nightsticks are epa compliant on 2010 and up models due to the cat in the header. that is what the above rider is referring to. As for fit they fit back to 1995.
I've been running Supertrapps on various bikes for over 20 years.
I recently picked up a take off set of nightsticks, removed the 'security" screw and tuned them as I do the super megs. the nightsticks are very similar to the supermegs and can often be found at a much better price
Lots of good info at the supertrapp website
