You guys are correct, there are few places you cannot get gas....during business hours....
I didn't post this because everyone would like, I liked it, not everyone rides like everyone else....in the more rural areas, gas stations can be closed on holidays, sundays, evenings, due to low demand and the employees need time off too....
That used to be a problem, but in the Midwest, most rural areas have pay at the pump, 24 hrs a day. I frequently have 30-40 mile stretches with no station, so I always pay attention to miles on tank. Not so much to fuel gauge.
from what riders that actually have this have posted it is a quality product. i will look into finding one. i am in montana and sometimes when traveling gas stations can be scarce. when on longer trips i carry 2 aluminum containers like backpackers use to carry fuel for the small stove the often carry. but 1 gallon would be a lot better than 2 quarts. i have only need my extra gas a few times but was dam glad to have it when i did.these harleys dont push real good. i ride an fltri and most of the time i know how far i can go on a tank of gas. or how rar i can go once the low fuel light comes on. but this is not a perfect world. my bike does not get the exact same gas mileage every tank of gas. so some times i make it less miles between tanks, or have ended up late at night in a town that only had one station with credit card pumps and they were not working. to me the space this takes up in the saddle bag is well worth it.
About a block! After mine went on I went to the corner of the next street and filled up my 5 gallon tank with 4.9982 gallons. Just sayin'!
I've put 4,000 miles on my bike, and several times put 4.7 gallons in, and the Lo light has never come on. I don't feel like risking running out to see if it works, but I might stay in town and drag the strip to see if it ever comes on.
